Are you a visionary Learning & Development leader ready to make a real impact?

​

We’re looking for an experienced and inspirational Head of Learning & Development to design and

deliver innovative, business-aligned L&D plans that grow talent, drive performance, and help our

client build a high-performing, future-ready workforce.

​

In this pivotal role, you’ll work with senior leaders across the Group to embed a culture of

continuous learning, develop future-ready capabilities, and ensure that development opportunities

are accessible, engaging, and inclusive.

​

A Snapshot Of The Opportunity:

​

- Partnering with the Chief People Officer and senior leadership to define and deliver the L&D

plans across a national, multi-site operation.

- Create practical, blended learning solutions—from sales and product training to leadership

development and structured progression frameworks.

- Own the training needs analysis (TNA) process, aligning learning with business goals and

capability gaps.

- Drive digital learning innovation, ensuring all content is relevant, accessible, and engaging.

- Managing the L&D budget, Apprenticeship Levy, and key compliance metrics.

- Lead and inspire the L&D team—developing talent, fostering collaboration, and delivering

impact.

- Deliver data-driven insights to demonstrate the value and performance of L&D

interventions.

- Build and evolve inclusive development programmes in partnership with HRBPs and EDI

Leads.

About You:

​

- Degree-qualified with a relevant training qualification (e.g. CTP).

- You have proven success as a Head of L&D in a fast-paced, multi-site environment such as

retail, construction, merchanting, leisure or hospitality.

- You’ll have deep expertise in digital learning methodologies and blended approaches.

- Experience delivering leadership development up to Director level.

- You’re skilled in designing and delivering scalable frameworks, training academies, and

impactful development journeys.

- Strong understanding of apprenticeships and how to leverage them effectively.

- You naturally have an inspirational leadership style with outstanding communication,

coaching and stakeholder management skills.

- You have a pragmatic, commercial mindset with the agility to adapt and lead change.

- Importantly, you’re someone who enjoys rolling your sleeves up to make things happen!
